Human trafficking is an 32 billion dollar a year industry. According to the U.S. State Department, 600,000 to 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year, of which 80% are female and more than half are children. Each year organizations work tirelessly to rescue women and children from the bonds of this modern day slavery. But what happens to these victims when they come home? Why do 80% of girls rescued end up being trafficked again? U TURN not only tells of the horrors of this unimaginable life, but aims to introduce the audience to the reasons for victim re-trafficking. Meet some of the amazing men and women working around the world helping those fortunate enough to be rescued have a chance at a successful life and learn how you can get involved.
